Helping Patients Embrace Life
with a Radiant New Smile

For individuals grappling with the challenges of missing teeth, feelings of self-consciousness and discomfort often become a daily struggle. Beyond the evident emotional impact, missing teeth often harbor harmful bacteria and pose oral and overall health risks. These dangerous bacteria settle in soft tissues, quickly leading to severe oral disease and systemic inflammation.

Fortunately, dental implants offer a permanently effective solution even in the most severe cases of tooth loss. Dental implants restore teeth to their original strength, promote improved oral health, and grant patients a truly remarkable, flawless smile. With a dental implant restoration procedure performed by our implant specialist, you can significantly elevate your quality of life – and enjoy a brand-new smile that will radiate confidence for decades to come.

Dental Implants 101:
How They Work

A dental implant consists of three essential components: the implant post, the abutment, and the restoration (prosthetic tooth). Compared to dentures, implants represent a vastly superior tooth replacement option, offering a lifelong solution for those with severe tooth loss. Implants play a crucial role in preserving the jawbone’s integrity, and unlike dentures, they never slip or shift on the gums over time.

To ensure the long-term success of full mouth dental implants, advanced technology and the expertise of an experienced implant dentist are imperative. As a fellow with the International Academy of Dental Implants, our dentists tailor various dental implant restoration options to meet each patient’s specific needs and oral health conditions. Our commitment at East Atlanta Dental is to provide state-of-the-art implant restorations that offer decades of reliable daily use and gorgeous, flawless smiles.

Tailored Solutions for Unique Implant Needs

1

Single Dental Implants

Single dental implants are a state-of-the-art tooth replacement option designed to mimic a missing tooth’s natural structure and function. Surgically placed into the jawbone, a single dental implant is a sturdy foundation for an artificial tooth. This innovative approach not only restores the appearance of a natural tooth but also provides improved stability, durability, and oral health benefits compared to traditional tooth replacement alternatives.

2

Dental Bridges

Implant supported bridges are a series of connected restoration teeth supported by one or more dental implants. This option is ideal for replacing multiple adjacent missing teeth and provides unparalleled stability and functionality.

3

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are a sophisticated dental restoration option that combines the stability of dental implants with the convenience of dentures. Unlike traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures are securely anchored to dental implants surgically placed in the jawbone, providing enhanced stability and function. This innovative solution improves bite strength and chewing efficiency and prevents issues like slipping or discomfort often associated with traditional dentures.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

Full mouth dental implants are a comprehensive solution for patients missing all their upper or lower teeth. Using custom-designed, strategically placed restorations, full mouth dental implants are permanently anchored in the jaw for a lifetime of reliable daily use.

A Simple 3-Step Process for a
Complete Dental Implant Restoration

As with every procedure, we’ll begin with an in-depth consultation with our team. This initial evaluation will discuss your dental concerns and address your smile goals. We’ll discuss your medical history and create the blueprint for your implant procedure. We’ll also obtain digital diagnostics of your oral structures and determine your implant eligibility with this information.

On the day of the procedure itself, you will be provided with your preferred sedation so you will be comfortable throughout the operation. We’ll begin your procedure by making a small incision in your jawbone and securely placing 4-6 implant posts into your jawbone. Once these posts are placed, we’ll attach an abutment over top and fix your temporary teeth to the abutment so you can immediately enjoy your new teeth!

Over the next 4-6 months, your implants will fuse with your jawbone through osseointegration. Once your implants fuse to your jawbone, they create a robust and durable foundation for a long-lasting smile. Your dental implants can last decades with proper care, an excellent at-home hygiene routine, and regular check-ups!
